Founded in 1982, the Visiting Nurse Association was created to fill a gap that existed in the area of home health care. Our staff of caring professionals work as a team, coordinating efforts to aid your path to recovery. Using modern technology and specialized procedures for home settings, we work as an extension of your physician and continuing the care plan that will give you the best chances for a full recovery.
Our team approach makes sure to keep you, the patient, as the lead participant in your health care plan. Working with your doctor, our registered nurses or licensed physical therapists will assess and oversee your care and recovery process. If needed, we also will bring in trained home care aides, licensed occupational therapists, speech therapists, a nutritional specialist or medical social workers to help with the different aspects of your recovery process. By working with you, your family and your physician, we can be a more effective and successful team.
Our home care services for Home Health/VNA include, but are not limited to:
- Nursing Care - a complete range of nursing services provided by registered nurses.
- Intravenous (IV) Therapy - nursing care associated with several types of IV therapy including antibiotic, pain management, hydration, total parental nutrition (TPN) and chemotherapy.
